“Careereoki”, a registered trademark of EVOK Advertising in Lake Mary, Florida, is a collaborative marketing initiative to stimulate career training and placement. This viral and interactive workforce development tool creates a unique and memorable alternative to traditional one-way marketing communication.
Job loss and/or pay and career stagnation are some of the most highly publicized effects of the downturn in the market. As such, EVOK Advertising, and two of their clients Orange County Public Schools Career and Technical Education (OCPS CTE) and WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA (WCF), teamed up with their shared vendors to create a one-of-a-kind promotion. Careereoki invites job seekers to submit a video of themselves singing about a career of their choice, with winners earning tools to aid them in finding employment. The program offers a great way to truly connect with people during difficult times, interjecting a bit of humor when people need it most.
Following the overwhelming success of the initial launch, EVOK Advertising made plans to make it available as a partnership package and workforce development tool across the country.
